FAQ: What is the green Card?

Sample of NYSC green card.

Often prospective Corp members wonder what the green card listed as one of the documents required in camp actually is?

Answer;  The green card is a slip that you print out after your online registration.

The NYSC Green Card has the following information:
  • The NYSC Logo, which has the NYSC letter heading including the head office address. Also includes the batch you are currently in and year of your service
  • Applicants full details, which includes his or her full names, date of birth, state of origin, LGA, gender, place of birth, marital status and physically challenges. Your passport photograph will also be clearly seen on the slip.
  • Your contact address information
  • Next of kin fully details
  • Your educational qualification details
  • Your Kits specifications details
  • And Finally the “Corps member Signature & date”. This is where you will sign as the owner of the slip.

You are expected to sign the green card and make photocopies of it. Then bring the signed green card to the camp with your other documents.

So don't worry, you will get/print out your green card on the day you do your online registration.

I hope this helps.

Afterward the Corper will be required to write down their name and will be given a number. This number is very important during re...
